Four Leaf LA is a production company dedicated to discovering high-concept, character-driven content rooted in purpose, resonance, resilience, and transformation — emerging from fearless new voices.
At Four Leaf LA, we believe in the power of independent cinema to tell bold, authentic stories that challenge perspectives and push the industry forward. Led by Colleen Marshall, an experienced indie producer and creative force in development, our mission is to empower screenwriters and filmmakers to take control of their careers — inside and out of the Hollywood system.
In addition to an indie production company, we have built Rare to Reel, a private development platform designed for serious writers who are ready to bring their visions to life in a new way.

More about Colleen
Colleen is a seasoned independent producer and development executive with a track record of guiding films from concept to completion. With years of experience in the script development, financing, and production process, she has built a reputation for helping screenwriters shape their scripts into production-ready projects.
She is known for her work on films, such as This Is Where I Leave You (Warner Bros., 2014), The Bachelors (2017) starring Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons, Unbroken: Path to Redemption (Universal 1440, 2018), and her upcoming production Merv (Amazon MGM, 2025) starring Zooey Deschanel and Charlie Cox, which will be released this December.
Colleen’s extensive background in both writing and production gives her a unique perspective on what it takes to develop and bring independent films to life. She understands the challenges indie filmmakers face and created this platform to bridge the gap between great scripts and getting films made.
After receiving her MFA in Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, she started her career in the Literary Department at the Gersh Agency in Beverly Hills, and then helped open the LA-based office of Penguin Random House Studios, focusing on book-to-television adaptations. In 2015, Colleen went to work with producer Matthew Baer (Unbroken) and together they produced two films. In 2020, Colleen launched her own production company, Four Leaf, dedicated to discovering high-concept, character-driven content rooted in purpose, resonance, resilience, and transformation — emerging from fearless new voices.
Colleen has since sold shows she developed with new voices to both Amazon and Netflix UK, and she is currently packaging and fundraising for two independent films that have emerged from her private development platform. These projects are a direct result of her commitment to nurturing screenwriters and filmmakers, guiding them from script development to full-scale production.
